Fire
Hodgson Fire Resistant sealant products are used to resist the passage of smoke and fire for periods from 30 minutes to 4 hours. The products are used to glaze doors and screens and for sealing around door architraves, service penetrations and joints in fire walls and fire rated ductwork.

Products are rigorously tested to BS 476 and Firestrip 30®, an Intumescent Glazing Strip, is also tested to European Standards EN1634-1: 2000 timber doors and EN1364-1:1999 softwood screens. Firestrip 30® also has BWF CERTIFIRE* Approval for periods of 30 minutes fire resistance and is suitable for use by FIRAS** Accredited Glaziers.
Products can be sourced in numerous Glass Shops throughout the UK, direct from Hodgsons in bulk to the Glazing Contractor, and via BWF Fire Door Centres.
We welcome enquiries from both the UK and overseas and will be pleased to work in partnership with your company to produce high quality and value for money sealant solutions which meet your particular needs.

CERTIFIRE is the only third party product certification authority set up exclusively for passive fire protection products.
It offers the manufacturer the means to independently demonstrate the quality and fire performance of their products against agreed technical schedules. Through the use of quality management systems, and audit procedures, the manufacturer can demonstrate that the products leaving the factory are as fit for purpose as those submitted for test.
